I did this painting from a photo taken while stuck in traffic. The sun was setting and the road alongside was very dark but there were orange headlights cutting through the gloom. It pays to have a camera handy and since digital models are so small now, I try to keep one with me at all times. The model I have now fits into an altoid box although I carry it in a small leather case intended for credit cards. Now that's small. This work is 8 x 10.
