Been busy painting again. Top is a 12x16 acrylic as I've been working on trying a few different media this year. This is a composite view of sky and beach where I painted beautiful Hapuna Beach and the mountains behind it. The clouds were from another image but work well here.

Busy painting
Am up to 176 paintings this year, if include my minis at 2x2 to 4x4. Here are few of the latest works. I did a few east side scenes in preparation for the Wailoa Center Plein Air exhibit in February, where I am the juror and will have a room to myself to show work.
Top is a study of the rock formation at Pine Trees beach, in 11x14. I've done this scene before so concentrated on loose brush strokes.

Recent landscapes
I've been late posting lately. Back busy at the gallery doing small paintings for gifts to sell there. The 2x2-4x4 are popular as easy to carry home.
Below are all local 8x10's except the two boats at Keauhou Bay which is 11x14. Top is Pine Trees beach and all the surfers there on a good wave day. The red surfboard is from a Maui photo I've always liked so finally did a painting based on it. We are back in the regular Friday painting sessions so more to come. One of these days I need to sort and get rid of the works I don't like as much.

New landscapes
Several 8x10's from recent weeks. We may lose beach locations to paint at as covid virus increases again and beaches may be closed for sitting. At top is the path at Kaloko Ponds moving into the dark trees. Below is Hookena Beach with the mountain dominating the people on the beach and in the water.

More landscapes
A few more summer landscapes. Top is Old Airport Park with its rocky beach. Next is the keiki pond at low tide at Energy Lab beach. I like the simple composition on this one. These are both 8x10. Last is an 8 x 16 to fit a frame my wife found at a thrift store. It's the view of Kahaluu Beach and a hut and the small church on the left. This view if popular and I've sold several similar ones plus views from the church back to the pavilion. Always a popular spot to snorkle and paint.

Newer work
Newer work, some studio, some plein air. I've been painting a few sunsets in the studio, and the "tree" painting is Hookena, 11x14 done on site. The top one is 10x8 and sold quickly at the Blue Sea Artisans Gallery.

Waves and more
Continued the fun wave studies from thumbnails I made from my various wave photos. Then went to Kaloko Ponds north of Kona and a pair of plein air paintings of the ponds area. All in all a productive week.
